Word on the street

The scene is a live on the street interview with a reporter holding a microphone being filmed and people walking back and forth with Christmas presents.
SCENE ONE
Reporter: Good evening, I am Christine Snowy live from the centre court shopping centre in Wimbledon. I am here to ask people just what Christmas means to them. I want to find out if it is possible for anyone to still see Christ in Christmas today?
Reporter stops someone and asks them this question
Reporter: Excuse me would you mind telling me just what Christmas means to you?
1st Person: Lights. Christmas Lights, They are everywhere! Lights on the trees, lights on the houses, lights on the streets. Red lights, green lights, blue lights, flashing lights, millions of lights. It has got to be it LIGHTS.
Reporter: Well lets see if we can catch someone else, Lights indeed.
Here is someone, would you mind telling me what Christmas means to you?
2nd Person: Presents. It costs me a fortune what with family, kids are so expensive but it’s Christmas so I like to get them everthing they want! I pods, Robo-raptors, play stations not cheap you know! But when you see them opened and open yours to it’s all worth while if you ask me. Presents it has to be PRESENTS.
Reporter: Lights , presents, Oh hold on Its back to the studio so its from me for now Christine snowy see you later on.
Everyone on the stage exits.
SCENE TWO
Reporter: Hello again, Christine Snowy still live from the centre court shopping centre in Wimbledon. Finding out what Christmas means to the average person on the street and heres someone now.
Can I ask you what Christmas means to you.
3rd Person: Christmas hmmm let me think, well parties really it’s just an excuse for lots of parties. Start on Christmas eve and keep going until New Year. Great family, friends, work fantastic loads of parties. To be honest I go back to work for a rest after it all. That is what it is about parties.
Reporter: Well it is looking like everyone has an idea about Christmas but they all seem a bit off the mark lets try another. Excuse me what does Christmas mean to you?
4th Person: Well Im dreaming of a white Christmas not that we ever get much snow here. But even just a little bit makes it seem well Christmassy. If I can I try and go skiing over the holiday as that is just perfect all that snow, lovely. Snow keep your fingers crossed.
Reporter: Well back to the studio again and we have had various thoughts from Lights, Presents, Parties and snow I will be back again hopefully finding out if anyone really remembers the true meaning of Christmas.
SCENE 3
Reporter: Well I have spent all evening here in Wimbledon finding out what people think Christmas is all about. We have time to ask a couple more before the end of the show.
Good evening what does Christmas mean to you?
5th Person: Music it just makes you smile all the Christmas songs like Do they know its Christmas and Last Christmas I gave you my heart, oh and what about Santa baby or even jingle bells they are all proper Christmas songs that really catch the meaning of Christmas. Music thats what its about.
Walks of singing jingle bells.
Reporter: Well its just as I thought no one sees Christ in Christmas anymore.
At this point someone walks up and asks what is going on and the reporter goes on and asks the last person the same question.
Reporter: So what does Christmas mean to you?
6th Person Christ of course.
Reporter: Act surprised and says: How can you possibly see Christ in Christmas today.
6th Person Well when I see the lights I see the one who came as a light to the whole world. When I see presents I think of his presence in my life and how he came as Gods gift to the world. When I hear music I think of the angels singing that first Christmas. When I go to a party I think of the celebrations in heaven when someone decides to follow Christ. And if it snows it reminds me that because of Jesus my sins everything I have done wrong has been washed whiter than snow. It all helps me focus on Christ.
Reporter: Well it is just as we thought. It is possible to see Christ in Christmas today. If yo just open your eyes.
