History Maker. <P>
I will always remember the day the Berlin Wall came down. Watching the news and feeling the excitement and emotion well up in me, as if I was part of it. I was amazed at how easy it was destroyed and wondered why it had not happened years before. <P>
I will always remember the morning after the great storm in 1987. Going to work and seeing trees uprooted, roofs blown away. I was amazed at the power of it and the devastation it caused, that sort of thing did not happen in the UK. <P>
I will always remember the day when John Lennon was shot, although not a massive fan it shook me how senseless it was. I was sad all day but didn’t really know why. <P>
I will always remember waking up on Sunday 31st August 1997 to the news that Diana Princess of Wales had died in a tragic accident. I was amazed by the huge public outpouring of grief and the amount of flowers and cards that people left. <P>
I will always remember the total eclipse and how day became night and how for a brief moment even in the city everything stopped. Even the birds stopped singing and nothing else seemed important but it soon passed and everything went back to normal. <P>
I will always remember the stroke of midnight on Millennium night and watching the fireworks go off everywhere and wondering when they would stop. The year 2000 seemed the stuff of science fiction when I was a kid and now here it was and I was part of it. <P>
I will always remember the horror of September 11th 2001, watching the news in disbelief as they showed two planes deliberately crash into the the World Trade Centre. I felt sick, cold, angry and sacred; how could anyone cause such an atrocity and feel it was justified. <P>
History makes an impact on us whether we like it or not but you make a mark on History? <P>
I forgot to say I will always remember the day I realised that the claims of Jesus were true and I asked Him to be my Lord and Saviour. This person who I had said was a crutch for the weak became my focus and changed my history and eternity forever. Because of him in some way I want to be a History maker, someone who lives and breathes, works and plays for Him. And whatever I do, that I do it to please Him and try to make a difference where ever and whatever I do.
