Flat Pack.
This is a team challenge I have used on young people to great effect on many occassions.
Purchase a flat pack chest of drawers or something simillar that has alot of parts and give it unopened to a team of 6 to 8 young people.
The brief is they have to assemble the unit in the time it takes them and everyone in the team must play a part.
To young people this is quiet a challenge and it involves good communication, following instructions, working as a team and a bit of self belief to mention just a few things.
Give them the tools required sit back and observe.
When they have finish talk about how they worked as a team and what part each person played.
When it is finished you may want to boost their esteem by placing it outside with a sign saying please take. They have always gone in 15 - 20 minutes and the buzz this gives the group is massive.
This may seem an odd challenge but it is one that always hits the spot when I use it.
