Getting Specific.

At the start of your session introduce your subject and affirm them by saying that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

If they have a question then the likelihood is others do as well.

Before you start to teach get them into groups and get them to come up with five questions they want you to answer during your talk on the given subject.

When they have done this get them to write these on post cards collect them in and shuffle them up.

For some this is easier than having to ask the questions out loud and admit it was their question.

Then during your talk pull out a card and read it out then proceed to answer it.

This assures them you know what you are talking about and they go away feeling you have answered their personal questions.
