Boxing Ring Role Play
Split your group into two and give each group the senario; for example one team is a young person the other a youth worker. <P>
The young person is given a senario that their Grandad has just died, the youth workers briefing is they are doing detached and to strike up conversation with them. <P>
On the word they must go and act it out. <P>
The difference here is the whole team watches and interacts, if the person from there team is struggling they can call time out and guide them in what to say or do. <P>
If you want to make it more interesting call time out and tell the young person to push the workers boundaries etc. <P>
It works best to keep the sections shortish no more than three minutes and to debrief as you go along. <P>
I have never known role play work as well as in this setting as it involves everyone fully.
