Discussion notes for 2 Timothy.

Would you rather work as part of a team or by yourself.

What are the benefits of passing on your gifts and skills.

Have you ever taught anyone anything you have learnt. How did it make you feel? How did the other person respond?

Who can you pass on your gifts and insights to? Do you think you are to young to do this, or doesn’t age come into it? (Remind them of 1 Timothy 12).

Has anyone ever put you down because of your age? What did you do? Say? Feel? How did you deal with it?

Have you ever done any work you have been ashamed of? How did you feel? Why did you do it that way? What happened as a result?

What do you need to be a worker who is not ashamed?

Is it OK to make mistakes? Encourage them that if we are going to take risks for God we will make mistakes. The important thing is to learm from them and keep going.

Do you think strategically about your gifts?

What could you do to see more of your friends becoming Christians? How could you be more effective? What would you need to do to see this happen?

It is good to set goals / targets for our faith but they need to be achievable / realistic or we give up.

That doesn’t mean we don’t dream big, just that we break it down.Ask what dreams for God they have, then get them to think about where they would start.
