Star Gazing.
Â
All you need for this is a clear night, warm clothes and some blankets to lie on.

Find a quiet spot away from everything, the top of a hill is good and aim to get there around midnight.

Simply spread the blankets out and get everyone to lie back and stare at the stars. Away from light pollution it is an incredible sight.

Do not force the conversations it will happen naturally and wait until someone sees a shooting star and the wows will beat any firework display.

The last time we did this it led into prayer including wows in the middle and we were lucky enough to catch a meteor shower.

This works best if it appears to be a spur of the moment idea; the conversations about God and our place in the universe are incredible.

Plan to have a late breakfast the next morning then build on it.

Don’t rush it we stayed a good two hours.

If you prefer a bit more structure take some bibles and read verses at various points that talk about Gods greatness and Gods creation.

It really is a memory maker that will stick for years.
