Impact Weekends

An impact weekend is where you take a group of young people to give a weekend of practical work to put their faith into action. These work best if it involves taking them out of their comfort zones. < ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
An example of this is taking a group to decorate a flat in an inner city housing estate and transforming it. This impacts the occupant and the neighbours and generates a wealth of conversations. It is best done in an area where a Christian presence is continued o�n a weekly basis.
Combine this work with some worship and teaching about how faith in action works and you are o�nto a winning memory maker.
The first o�n of these I did 3 years ago and it is still talked about regularly.
If you have time people and businesses may sponsor paint etc and get the local press o�n board for full impact.
