Cross Prayers

Cut out two large card crosses and stick them to the wall of your meeting room. <P>
Talk about how relevant the cross is today and then hand out current newspapers and magazine. <P>
Armed with scissors and glue ask them to go through the papers and cut out headlines, storys or pictures of pain, suffering etc and to put these all oÂn oÂne cross and oÂn the other stories etc of hope, positive stories etc. <P>
The likely hood is the pain and suffering cross will be far more covered than the other. <P>
Finish your talk and then use the crosses to stimulate the young people to pray for the world and at the same time thanking God for the good stuff. <P>
This is very visual and a strong reminder at how much the world needs Jesus. <P>
Leave these displayed prominently in the church for a while maybe with a brief explanation.
