All you need is a hose pipe and a roll of thick polythene damp proof membrane is good as it is thick. The longer you make it the more fun it will be.
Roll the polythene out, spray with a hose then line up run and dive onto the sheet and slide. Saftey is important so control the numbers of on the sheet at a time.
You need to make a large ice cube in say a 2 litre ice cream tub with the prize frozen in the middle, money works well.
To do this freeze the tub half full then add the coins or whatever you want to add and fill the top half and freeze. <P>
Get everyone sitting in a circle and play as you would pass the parcel except instead of a present you pass the over sized ice cube. <P>
For this you need a hot sunny day and loads of small ice cubes the more the better. <P>
You can buy ice cubes from supermarkets cheaply and pre order a large amount for the day you want them. <P>
To play the game you need a defined play area say half a football pitch for a large group, at one end set up three or four tables with leaders seated behind and buckets of ice cube and a line in front to mark a no go zone. <P>
For this you need a large plastic tube about 6 foot long fixed to a board so it is free standing plastic soil pipe works well but just have a look in your local DIY store and be creative. It is best about 6 inches wide.
You then need to drill about twenty holes of various sizes around the tube and place a pin pong ball in the bottom.

This works as a relay, teams line up in a line about 1 metre apart from which they don’t move. <P>
The person at the top of each team has the tube and places a hand over the end this is filled from the water supply using the jugs. <P>
They then try to pass the tube from player to player depositing as much water as they can at the end in the buckets the tube then gets passed back to the top and it starts over again. <P>
This sounds easy but is pretty tricky and everyone get more than a little wet. <P>
The winner is the team with the most water in the time limit set. It is a great cooler on a hot day.
