Radical

Jesus the radical. by you.

Just back from a great weeks holiday at New Wine, feeling refreshed and challenged. Drew this during a sermon and it captured a recurring theme for me.

You are free to use the image but you may not use this work for commercial purposes. Should you wish to use them commercially contact Beef via the site.)

Stop and Search!

I draw to to help me process things I am thinking about. Part of my work is detached and stop and search is a big issue.

This week one young person got stopped and searched and showed us the report, as he walked away from us a police mini bus screached up next to him and four police jumped out and seached him again. This happen two more times on the way home.

Point the finger.

Two versions of the same picture to help generate discussion.

Unless we tackle the root causes of a problem we will never see real changes.

For disussion:

When you look at the picture where do you point the finger?

What is the cause of the problem?

How can you help the young people like those in the picture most effectively?

Good Friday Image.

I drew this a while back to help a group start thinking about some of the harder parts of Good Friday. You are welcome to use it but please let me know how and where.

(I was e-mailed recently asking why I use charcoal and not much colour and it is simply I am badly colourblind but also love the tacktile way you use charcoal).

Crown of Thorns

This crown of thorns was made by one of my young people (Macca) during a reflective weekend as part of The stations of the Cross instalation. It was made from clay, plastic and card. I photographed it and turned to a negative.

It is a powerful image you are free to use but please tell me where and how. You can get larger versions via flickr.

Be the difference!

Think about those you relied on when you were a young person.

Why did you trust them?

What was it about them that made you turn to them especially when life got to much.

All young people need stable people they can turn to and know they will be listened to.

Feeling that you are heard is so important.

So have you remembered?

Rememberance day.

Do you do rememberance day wih the young people you work with?

Does it hold importance to you?

I have led many assemblies in schools for remeberance but one really stands out.

We took Frank from our church and interviewed him and he told his story of being caught by the Germans and escaping 3 times, one as part of the escape the “Great Escape” film is based on.
