When you look at me.

I am becoming increasingly concerned by how young people are seen as a whole, fueled by the media etc. It seems it is wrong to be young and part of a group of more that three in public. This poem is about this issue. you can read it by clicking here.

Walls.

Found this and loved it on weird hippy thanks to Lewis for letting me add it.

A little something i wrote whilst sitting in a church service on Sunday

Why these walls?

Who are they here for?

Our benefit?

Do they provide comfort?

Do they keep others at bay?

These walls, banners, lights

Safety!

Yet you are not safe

You break down walls

Determination.

My latest poem which helps open up the subject of disability or how we face life, how we make judgements on other people. It is dedicated to a friend of mine (you know who you are). You can read it here.

Bitter.

I have had a hetic couple of weeks that have been quite stressful. One of the ways I process what I do is by writing poetry. This is a piece written for a young person.

It is called Bitter and you can read it here.

When angels cry.

I wrote this after a conversation with a young person whilst doing detached who came out with what do you think makes angels cry. It led to a good conversation and floated around in my head for days. So on reflection here’s maybe what makes them cry!

The poem can be read here.

Suffering.

This is a poem on suffering and being someone who makes a difference. It is always a difficult subject to see where God fits and how he seems to let it happen. This may help you can read it here.

Angel in disguise.

I have always loved the idea of angels in disguise to do Gods work and penned this about a homeless guy I now count as a friend.

I make no appologies for the opening line. You can read it here. It’s called Could you be?
