Grab the egg.

This is one of those games that just happened to fill a bit of time on a sunny afternoon camp. It is best played with two three or four players.

You will need:

a raw egg per team.

A dice (someone to roll it and call)

Plastic sheeting if playing indoors.

The Weather Report

Get your willing victim (leader voted by the young people) and sit them in a paddling pool facing the audience.

Give them some clothes to change into first.

Then get someone to give a weather report at the appropiate weather pour it over the person.

Light Showers water from a watering can.

Heavy rain buckets of water.

Snow flour.

Hail crushed ice.

You get the idea be creative.

The crowd think this is the best thing ever.

It could easily become a nightly feature on a camp.

Warning you need showers and washing flour out of the hair on my legs was hard going but worth it. Why do I always get picked?

Hong Kong Foey

Get a volunteer and send them out the room so they can not hear.

When they are gone tell the audience they must not shout out what is going on.

Then bring them back in and stand face to face about a meter apart and explain they must copy everything you do.

In front of them have a broom and in front of you a drum stick.

Wotsit Head

Get 3 volunteers (leaders work well) and cover their faces in shaving foam then get 3 more people and give each a packet of Wotsits (tubular cheesy crisps).

The aim of the game is for each person to throw wotsits at their persons face from about 1 metre away. The one with the most stuck to their face in the time limit is the winner.

Sieve Head

You will need per team:

a stool, a colander, a small tin of tomatoes, and egg and flour, (or simillar).

I personally like rice pudding as well.

This is a simple race: one person (normally a girl) stands on a stool and the partner holds the colander over his head.

On the whistle the person on the stool empties the contents of the first thing into the colander and the person then runs the circuit back to the start and the next item is added.

Always end with the flour!

This is hillarious to watch, only use people who volunteered and make sure you have a camera and that the showers are working.

This really is one they will remember.

Egg Pit

You can do this with a couple or have a knock out tournament.

Get two people to stand face to face and place a raw egg under each armpit, they then clasp hands and on the word push each other backwards. The person whose eggs break first is the loser.

This is very entertaining but you do need some good washing facilities.

Battle of the lungs!

You will need a length of plastic tube about 1.2m long preferably clear and with a minimum of 18mm bore.
One raw egg and a funnel.

Get your two volunteers and tell them it is a battle of strength, then produce the tube and funnel and crack the egg so it slides into the middle of the tube.
Then get each person to put one end of the tube in his or her mouths and on the whistle blow.
The one, who stops blowing first loses and gets the raw egg, normally the egg goes flying as they try and get out the way.
