A bit of an animal.

For this you need to split the group into fours or fives and then give them 5 to 10 minutes to prepare.

Each group has to come up with an animal, sound (interesing if they choose say mere cats) and movement. The team can together produce one animal or each act out the animal.

When time is up they perform in front of the others and see if they can guess.

Jungle Beat.

This is a drumming game passed to me from My oldest daughter. It is a drumming game that can be done with any size group.

It works by saying animal names with actions. The animals are in this order:

Lion

Tiger

Elephant

Rhineoserous

Rat

Hippopotomus

Snake

These are done with the following actions:

Lion 2 taps on legs.

I Say.

One person is the commander and from then on everyone has to do whatever he says as long as he begins with the command “I say”
A few things change the response though, these are as follows.
If the commander has their right hand in the air as they give the instruction, the I say rule is reversed so if they say I say with their right hand up you must not do what they say.
Left hand up mean you must do the action given twice if they say I say.
If the commander touchers their head at anytime, all the players must cross their arms whatever else is said.
Give people 3 or 5 lives when these are lost they are out of the game.
It works really well if the pace is not to slow.

Dog on a hot tin roof!

The first player says: ‘One dog, two eyes, four legs, goes woof on a roof in Duluth!’

The next player goes: ‘Two dogs, four eyes, eight legs, goes woof, woof on a roof in Duluth!’

Then the next Three dogs, six eyes, twelve legs go woof woof woof on a roof in Duluth.

And so the game goes on, if anyone gets the wrong number of eyes, legs, woofs or says roof instead of woof is out or has to do a forfeit.

This is a very funny game to play and surprisingly difficult.

Disassociate

Elephant, cow, rabbit

Everyone gets into a circle and one person stands in the centre.

When the game starts the centre person looks around and then points at one person and says either elephant, cow or rabbit.

If they say elepant the person pointed at must stick out an arm to become the trunk and the two people either side must imitate two big ears. They must achieve the transformation before the centre person can tag them.

Fast Fiddle Do dum.

Get everyone to stand in a circle if you have enough room and then teach them the chant fast fiddle do dum and practise a few times.

Number everyone in the group.

When they have got the hang of this tell them that you are going to say a number start the chant and do an action which all of that number must continue with.
