I have just finished reading “The Carl Rogers Reader” and loved it and agreed with so much of what he has to say. Here are a few quotes:
I realize increasinly that I am only interested in learnings which significantly influence behavior.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered…..Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind people will acuse you of selfish, ulterior motives…..Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enimies…..Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you….Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building someone could destroy….Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous…..Be happy anyway. <P>
The good you do today, people will forget tomorrow…..Give God the best you’ve got anyway. <P>

Reading a Film magazine during lunch today and read that in Bruce Almighty where he is trying to organise everyones prayers and gets covered in Post-its. <P>
The crew participated in this and wrote prayers on every single one of the Post-Its, each one different. It was filmed not long after 9/11 so many were prayers about loss in their lives. <P>
Not what I was expecting to read but great and made me smile as I use the humble Post-It often. <P>
The director of the film said they tried to make it more spiritual than religious but admits to hoping it may rekindle someone’s interest in God!
