Heads or Tails

Sponsor a….

We have just needed a load of floor cushions to use with one of our groups and I decided to coincide with sharing the vision with the wider church I would ask them to sponsor a cushion at £15 each and that we needed a minimum of 20. <p>
I produced a form with a bit for people to fill in stating number of cushions, whether money was enclosed or was to follow and their phone number. The response was amazing and we were able to buy 32 cushions (I’ll let you do the sums), which not only made the floor far more comfy but also boosted the young people as they saw the church supporting in this way.

Duck Race

A duck race is just what it says…except the ducks you are racing are yellow plastic ones. You can buy these cheaply in large quantities.

Bake In

The plan is to have an overnight bake in for bread and cakes to sell on the following morning.

It works best to take pre-paid orders for people to collect and then cook extra cakes to sell when people arrive as well as serving tea and coffee.

Decide before what you are prepared to bake and give out lists with prices with order forms attached.

Tube Dash

This event takes the form of a sponsored event and ours took place in London but it would work anywhere with a good travel network and loads of famous landmarks.

The mission was for teams of around 6 to visit as many landmarks as possible between 10.30am and 7-00pm. You could get sponsored per landmark or as a single amount regardless.

Non stop static cycle ride.

The object of this event is to cycle on exercise bikes the distance you will be travelling and get sponsored per mile.

Our cycle ride had these rules at least one bike must be on the go at all times 24/7.

No one person must complete over 50 miles without a break.

The task must be completed in a week, we planned ours to finish as the Sunday morning service was about to start.
