Organise a Ball.

Yes that is me with my hands on my head at a ball organised for Prospex who I work for playing heads and tails.

This is an ambitious fundraiser that needs a team on board and you can do small scale or large scale.

For a successful ball you need a nice location, good food, good music and a few other things to make it memorable.

Recipe Book

Gather together everyones favourite recipes from your church or organisation and turn them into a book.

Then sell copies of the book at the church and to family and friends, they go like hot cakes!!!

You can charge a small fee for recipes to be included and persuade a printing firm to donate the printing for free.

If you can add some photos it adds to the whole look.

It is a good project to hand over to some young people, to put together etc.

I have seen these easily raise five hundred pounds.

Buy a Brick.

For this you need to work out how many bricks you need for the project be it here or overseas. Then ask people to sponsor a brick or bricks.

Work out the cost per brick, per 10 and 100 and also per square meter.

This allows people to buy a single brick (with pocket money) or a whole wall.

Bag Packing

Get permission from one of your local super markets to help pack peoples shopping for a donation. It can be quite lucrative over a day.

The key is to advertise what you are raising money for, to be polite and friendly.

It raises the profile of the project in the community as well as money.

Band Night

The key to this is to persuade the band to give their gig for free and then put on an evening of music, dancing, food and a few prize competitions.

You can produce tickets and sell at an reasonable rate and get different people to cook food for a buffet.

It is essential to get as much as possible for free and sell as many tickets as possible.
