This is a terrific discussion starter that can open up subject such as self worth, value and letting go of the past to mention just a few.

It is a true story and you have probably heard it here is a brief summary:

A Briton living in Australia has agreed a bid of more than £192,000 after putting his “entire life” up for sale following a split from his wife.

I went to watch my girls sing with Merton Music Foundation in St Pauls Church in Covent Garden London which is also kown as “The Actors Church” during the interval I came across this plaque and loved it, what a great thing to be remembered for.

If you have missed this story of the Mum who shopped her own sons what have you been doing. This is a must read / see discussion starter. The story gets even better when after the victim seeing her in an interview on GMTV asks to meet her.

I took a group of young people to Highgate Cemetery in London today to talk about the future. It was really powerful seeing the graves of Karl Marx, Norh London Firefighters memorial and this stark tombstone with no date name or nothing. They all caused lots of discussion and helpped the group think about the impact they want to make.

Surge in teen breast ops.

According to a report in the Sunday Times today the number of teenagers having breast operations has increased by 150% in the last year. Doctors believe this is nearly all down to following celebrities.

It is worth readig the full report as it is a worring trend that again emphasises that you have to look a certain way to feel good about yourself.

Young people often find it difficult to express themselves. This is a simple method to get them thinking about themselves, how they feel about themselves and how they think people see them.

Give each young person paper and a large marker pen ask them to write 3 words that they think describe them best, one word per page.
