If you are doing detached work get some ID and wear it. <P>
Most councils can sort this for you with a proper photo card, saying who you are, who you work for, contact number, charity number if you have one. It is good to have your signiture on it as well. <P>
You are out on detached and are talking to a large group of teenagers congregated outside some flats. The group are chatty and in a good mood but as a black guy who lives in the flats come in lots say hi but as he walks away one person makes a racial comment which fires up several others. This changes the whole dynamics of the group and they turn quite aggressive and argue amongst themselves. What would you do. <P>
You are out and about talking to a group of young people when suddenly out of no where two police officers appear, in about 30 seconds all of the young people bar a couple disappear. The two officers come over to you and start to question you about what you are doing and what you know of the young peoples activities in front of the remaining youngsters.
What do you do? What do you say to the police and the young people.
