Faithworks Awards

Prospex the Charity I head up was shortlisted for the Faithworks award that took place on 8th June in the House of Commons.

We entered the Improving the lives of Children and Young People section and were runners up. One of 7 out of 77 entries. Not bad and a boost to keep on going.

Master Builders

The Big Swim.

Beef is planning to try and swim 22 miles during February 2009 the same distance as the English Channel to raise funds for Prospex.

This equates to 1416 lengths in a 25m pool.

Put another way starting on the 1st February he will have to swim 47.2 lengths everyday to complete the challenge.

Never loose a sense of wonder.

Spikyheaded stays!

Thanks to all who have contacted me about the site through the comments and other means, sorry I managed to delete most of them but not before I read them.

Because of the response I realise it needs to continue.

I have also recieved some speaking engagements through it which I love doing so that encourages me to keep it up.

I will be posting some new content real soon.

Spikyheaded you decide it’s future.

It is that time again where I think about what to do with this site before the renewal comes up in the New Year.

It has been a while since I have added anything as I have started a new role as a youth service manager for Prospex and it is a pretty demanding role.

The options are:

  • Keep it going as it has alot of hits each week.

This may be just the help you need!

A very good mate of mine Matt Calvert, the founder of Prospex and amazing youth worker has just gone self employed. He has a company called Mustard and this is what he says about it:

Mustard is an organisation set up and dedicated to seeing the young people of our world today look forward to a brighter tomorrow through creative and innovative ways that encourage, challenge and change lives through informal learning and experience. We inspire young people to believe in their own gifts and abilities, to better themselves giving them back the value they so very much deserve whist helping them reengage in mainstream society.
