A break from the routine.

If you run a youth group, service etc that follows the same pattern there is real value in taking a break from the normal routine. Yes this takes a bit more planning and thought but it is these times that can be the real times of growth in a persons development. Also it can be these times that let other young people shine for a while because they have another way to express themselves.Â
Breaking from the routine could be a simple as where you meet or the time you meet. I remember one time meeting a group at 6am on a Sunday morning to eat a huge full cooked breakfast and talk about communion at the same time, very powerful. After breakfast everyone went home and had the rest of Sunday off. From that an early morning prayer group was born for and by young people.
It could be going and doing something that takes you and them out of your comfort zones or just doing something because it is fun.
One thing is certain it is definately worth it.
So go on break the routine!
