God provides.
This did the e-mail rounds a few years back and I suddenly remebered it when talking about how God provides and his generosity so dug it out my files.
It looks at what was needed to provide for the Israelites whilst in the dessert. I don’t know the source.
Moses and the people were in the desert, but what was he going to do with them?
They had to be fed and 2-3 million people is alot to feed.
A quartermaster general in the army worked out that Moses would have needed 1500 tons of feed each day.
To bring that in today would require two freight trains, each at least a mile long.
They would have needed firewood to cook with (remeber the desert bit). This would require 4000 tons of wood each day and a few more mile long freight trains.
They were on the move for forty years.
And don’t forget water. If they just had enough to drink and wash a few dishes that would mean 11 000 000 gallons each day and a freight train with tank cars 1800 miles long.
Just tink when God provided manor etc there was always more than they needed.
I am sure you can put this to good use.
